How do I unlock my devices?

To get the most potential out of the devices Tech Defenders purchases, we request that all devices are sent into our facility fully unlocked. We are not able to issue the most payment for your devices if they are locked.  If you have questions regarding the process of unlocking your deployment, we are happy to help! Follow the steps below to unlock your devices:

  1. Sign in with your Google administrator account (https:/admin.google.com/AdminHome)
  2. Click on ‘Device Management’ & ‘Chrome Devices’
  3. Click the organizational group you want to deprovision (Bottom Left)

Google: To unlock your devices from Google, begin by signing into your administrator account. From here, click on Device management and Chrome Devices. Select the organizational group you wish to deprovision on the bottom left. Select the checkbox next to Serial Number to select all devices in the organizational group. After all of the devices have been selected, click on More Actions and then select Wipe and Retiring. After these steps have been completed, select Deprovision in the bottom left corner.

Apple: To successfully unlock your devices from Apple, you will need to release the devices from Apple’s DEP Management Software. To do this login to your DEP portal and select Manage Devices. This will provide an option to upload a CSV with the serial numbers of the devices you wish to unlock. Once uploaded, select Choose Actions and Unassign Devices. This will successfully unbind the devices from your DEP.
